Ohad Landesman
Ohad Landesman is a film scholar who specializes in documentaries, cinema in the digital age and animation. He is a lecturer in film studies at the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University.
He holds a PhD from the Department of Cinema Studies at New York University. His dissertation focused on the aesthetic implications of digital technology on the documentary tradition, with a specific emphasis put on doc-fiction hybrids, essay films and animated documentaries.
His writing has appeared in several academic journals such as Studies in Documentary Film, Animation: An Interdisciplinary Journal, Projections: The Journal for Movies and Mind, and Visual Anthropology Review. He is currently working on a monograph focused on documentary visits to Israel in the 1960s and 1970s, to be published by SUNY Press.
